After receiving a mid-air bomb threat, a New York-bound Air India flight returned to Mumbai on Mondaynoitepg, PTI reported citing sources.

It has been reported that the aircraft carrying over 320 people, landed safely in Mumbai and is currently undergoing mandatory checks by the security agencies.

What Did Air India Say?

"A potential security threat was detected mid-flight on AI119 operating Mumbai-New York (JFK) today, 10 March 2025. After following the necessary protocols, the flight air-returned to Mumbai, in the interest of the safety and security of all on board," Air India said in a statement,7jogos slots as per PTI.

"The aircraft is undergoing mandatory checks by security agencies, and Air India is extending its full cooperation to the authorities," it further added.

In view of the security threat, the flight has been rescheduled to operate at 5 am on March 11. All passengers have been offered hotel accommodation, meals, and other assistance until then, the airline said.

Air India Flight's Toilet Fiasco

In a separate incident, another Air India flight from Chicago to Delhi was also forced to return mid-air after following a technical glitch that left 11 of its 12 toilets unusable.

According to an India Today reportnoitepg, the issue was discovered in Air India's flight AI126 while flying over Greenland with over 300 passengers onboard.
